The new facility follows the creation of a vehicle and battery development center at the company\u2019s Northampton site, which opened last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn response to growing demand for our expertise in the design, development, testing and optimization of batteries for electric vehicles, we\u2019re delighted to be opening another new facility to support our clients within the European automotive industry,\u201d said Simon Reader, MAHLE Powertrain\u2019s Managing Director. \u201cThe center is up and running having completed a number of projects for OEM partners.
