Turkish company Bozankaya, specialized in the production of electric vehicles for public transport, expands its collaboration with Timisoara City Hall by winning the tender for the delivery of 33 new trolleybuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It is another step in our strategy to increase the attractiveness of public transport in Timi\u0219oara and to offer travelers decent travel conditions. In fact, in recent years we managed to modernize the fleet with 70 new electric trams and buses, and this modernization continues,” said the mayor of Timi\u0219oara, Dominic Fritz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Turkish company signed an agreement for the delivery of 40 trams to Timi\u0219oara City Hall and 34 trams to Ia\u0219i City Hall. Within these projects, the company has so far delivered 25 trams to Timi\u0219oara and 16 trams to Ia\u0219i. Now, Bozankaya has won the tender for new trolleybuses in Timisoara, to deliver 33 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The contract with Timi\u0219oara City Hall will include the delivery in two different batches. Lot I includes eight 12 m battery-powered trolleybuses, and Lot II includes 25 articulated 18m trolleybuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
