Its&nbsp;<strong>adjusted operating result<\/strong>&nbsp;was 2.7 billion Euro (2023: 2.5 billion Euro, +6.6&nbsp;percent), corresponding to an improved&nbsp;<strong>adjusted EBIT margin<\/strong>&nbsp;of 6.8 percent (2023: 6.1&nbsp;percent).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Net income<\/strong>&nbsp;totaled 1.2 billion Euro in 2024 (2023: 1.2 billion Euro, +1.0 percent).&nbsp;<strong>Adjusted free cash flow<\/strong>&nbsp;was \u20ac1.05 billion (2023: \u20ac1.3 billion, -18.6 percent).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe achieved good results in 2024 despite the difficult economic environment. We even slightly exceeded our annual target for adjusted free cash flow, which was mainly due to our good tire business and the positive cash contribution from Automotive,\u201d said Continental CFO Olaf Schick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, Continental expects the global production of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles to change by -1&nbsp;to&nbsp;+1 percent. In 2024, this decreased by around 1 percent to more than 89 million vehicles. For the global tire-replacement business, the technology company expects sales volumes to develop by 0&nbsp;to&nbsp;+2 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on these assumptions and given the exchange rates at the beginning of the fiscal year, Continental anticipates consolidated sales for 2025 of around \u20ac38.0&nbsp;billion to&nbsp;\u20ac41.0 billion and an adjusted EBIT margin of around 6.5&nbsp;to&nbsp;7.5&nbsp;percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continental expects the&nbsp;<strong>Automotive<\/strong>&nbsp;group sector to generate sales of around \u20ac18.0 billion to \u20ac20.0 billion and an adjusted EBIT margin of around 2.5 to 4.0 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the&nbsp;<strong>Tires<\/strong>&nbsp;group sector, Continental forecasts sales of around \u20ac13.5 billion to \u20ac14.5 billion and an adjusted EBIT margin of around 13.3&nbsp;to 14.3&nbsp;percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continental anticipates sales in the&nbsp;<strong>ContiTech<\/strong>&nbsp;group sector of around \u20ac6.3 billion to&nbsp;\u20ac6.8 billion and an adjusted EBIT margin of around 6.0 to 7.0 percent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the past fiscal year, Continental achieved&nbsp;consolidated sales&nbsp;of 39.7 billion Euro (2023: 41.4&nbsp;billion Euro, -4.1 percent).
