ROMBAT, the only 360\u00b0 integrated manufacturer of car batteries in Romania, celebrates 45 years of uninterrupted activity, successfully crossing all the major stages of recent history, going through the communist period, the post-revolutionary transition, the opening to the market economy, Romania’s accession to the European Union, integration into an international group and continuous transformation through digitalization, sustainability and global expansion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, ROMBAT exports over 60% of its production and is present in over 40 countries on 4 continents, consolidating its position as a competitive player on the global car battery market. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is one of the few Romanian companies that has not only withstood the over 35 years since the Revolution, but has also continued to grow, continuously adapting to the realities of the industry and the global market. On this occasion, ROMBAT inaugurates a new production line that will be dedicated to the manufacture of Heavy Duty Champion HD-EFB batteries, for heavy-duty vehicles equipped with start-stop systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This investment of approximately 3 million euros reflects ROMBAT’s commitment to meeting the increasingly complex requirements of the modern automotive industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, ROMBAT has made significant investments, estimated at a total of approximately 100 million euros, especially after Romania\u2019s accession to the European Union. These investments aimed at modernizing and expanding production capacities, implementing advanced technologies and promoting sustainability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the inauguration of the new Heavy Duty battery production line, the company invested in two photovoltaic parks, one located in Bistri\u021ba and the other in Cop\u0219a Mic\u0103, both co-financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Program. These investments contribute to reducing the company\u2019s carbon footprint and increasing its energy independence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, ROMBAT developed the Rebat Recycling Center in Cop\u0219a Mic\u0103, where 98% of the components of used batteries are recovered, which are then reused in the production process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
