This is the fifth laboratory refurbished with NXP\u2019s support in Romanian universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NXP Romania continues its investment in education, essential for building a sustainable and innovative future. The launch of this laboratory, dedicated to STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), reflects the company\u2019s commitment to supporting academia and actively contributing to the development of young talent. By collaborating closely with universities and facilitating access to cutting-edge technologies, NXP aims to inspire and empower the next generation of engineers and technology leaders who will shape the world of tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSupporting higher education in Romania is an integral part of our development strategy. We are delighted to expand our collaboration with universities across the country and provide students with access to modern resources that prepare them for industry challenges. The launch of the laboratory at the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering in Ia\u0219i is another step in strengthening this partnership,\u201d said Simona Alm\u0103jan, Country Manager of NXP Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fully renovated laboratory, funded by NXP Romania, is designed for the faculty\u2019s students, offering access to a modern space aligned with current industry requirements. Here, students will engage in practical activities in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, including Intelligent Systems, Edge Computing Applications, Fundamentals of Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. To support these hands-on activities, NXP has donated development systems from its product range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are officially inaugurating the upgraded Intelligent Systems Applications Laboratory, a modern space dedicated to the practical training of key subjects in the Master\u2019s program in Artificial Intelligence (e.g., Intelligent Systems Projects, Machine Learning, Edge Computing, and Computer Vision). Integrating resources from strategic partnerships with the business environment strengthens the connection between theory and practice, enhancing the impact our graduates can have in a highly competitive field such as Computer Engineering. We thank NXP Romania for its continued investment in education and for the long-term partnership with the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering,\u201d said Prof. Dr. Eng.
