Bosch, a global leader in technology and services, has announced that Dan L\u0103z\u0103rescu, General Director of Robert Bosch S.R.L. and the Bosch Group\u2019s representative in Romania, has also assumed the role of Director of the Bosch Engineering Center in Cluj, effective January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dan L\u0103z\u0103rescu succeeds Tobias Matter who, after a four-year term during which he successfully led the center, will take on a new position within the company at the beginning of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under Tobias Matter\u2019s leadership, the Bosch Engineering Center in Cluj underwent a significant transformation, marking a period of growth and reaching an important milestone within the local technology ecosystem, culminating in the inauguration of a second office building in 2024. \u201cLeading the Bosch Engineering Center in Cluj has been an exceptional experience. The skills of our team and the collaborative environment have established us as a strong voice in engineering and IT in Romania,\u201d said Tobias Matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since its establishment in 2013, the Bosch Engineering Center in Cluj has played a key role in transforming the mobility sector. With extensive expertise in software, hardware, mechanical and reliability engineering, as well as project management, the center develops innovative solutions and services. These are based on data and artificial intelligence, with applications in automated driving, electric mobility, and connected mobility. Through close collaboration with other engineering locations and the Bosch plant in Cluj, the center provides unique solutions to customers worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With a workforce of more than 1,500 employees, the center is a key contributor to Bosch\u2019s intellectual property portfolio, generating over 100 inventions annually.
