Filip & Company has provided legal assistance to Continental and its ContiTech division in connection with the sale of the Original Equipment Solutions (OESL) business unit to Regent, a U.S.-based private industrial holding company managing businesses across the automotive, technology, consumer and media sectors worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The transaction was completed on 2 February 2026, following the receipt of the required regulatory approvals. The transaction was globally coordinated by Freshfields and involved operations in over 15 jurisdictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Filip & Company was responsible for all local legal aspects in Romania, advising primarily on the transactional and regulatory matters related to the carve-out (separation and transfer) of the OESL business, as well as on vendor due diligence and local transactional and regulatory aspects of the deal. The firm also assisted on competition and foreign direct investment matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
