Currently with more than 5,000 skilled employees, the site is the region\u2019s largest employer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the successful ramp-up of the new electric Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the first all-electric core model is rolling off the production line in Kecskem\u00e9t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the official opening of the new halls, the plant\u2019s footprint has grown from 200 to 440 hectares. This means that Kecskem\u00e9t will, in future, be the largest automotive production site in Hungary and one of the largest in Mercedes-Benz\u2019s global production network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With investments totalling around one billion euros as part of the Mercedes-Benz Business Plan 2022\u20132026, the company is underlining its commitment to sustainably strengthening the competitiveness, efficiency and future viability of its entire production network. &nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercedes-Benz is doubling the floor space of its plant in Kecskem\u00e9t, Hungary, making it one of the largest production sites in its global production network.
