{"id":9947,"date":"2021-06-04T14:29:37","date_gmt":"2021-06-04T11:29:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.automotive-today.ro\/?p=9947"},"modified":"2021-06-04T14:29:37","modified_gmt":"2021-06-04T11:29:37","slug":"renault-and-plug-power-launch-hyvia-joint-venture-to-open-new-path-towards-low-carbon-mobility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.automotive-today.ro\/index.php\/2021\/06\/04\/renault-and-plug-power-launch-hyvia-joint-venture-to-open-new-path-towards-low-carbon-mobility\/","title":{"rendered":"Renault and Plug Power launch HYVIA joint-venture to open \u201cnew path towards low-carbon mobility\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Renault Group and Plug Power, a world leader in turnkey hydrogen and fuel cell solutions, are launching HYVIA. <\/strong>The joint venture is equally owned by the two partners and is chaired by David Holderbach, with over 20 years of experience in strategic, product and international sales at the Renault Group.<\/p>\n<p>The name HYVIA is a contraction of \u201cHY\u201d for hydrogen and the Latin word \u201cVIA\u201d for road, embodying the ambition to open a new path towards low-carbon mobility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HYVIA&#8217;s activities will be carried out at existing Renault facilities in France:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The head office of the joint venture as well as the R&amp;D teams will be located at<strong>\u00a0Villiers-Saint-Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric<\/strong>, with the light commercial vehicle engineering and development center for Renault Group, to maximize synergy across teams.<\/li>\n<li>The process, manufacturing and logistics teams will be based in\u00a0<strong>Flins<\/strong>, as part of the Re-Factory project, and plan to begin the assembly of fuel cells and recharging stations by end of 2021.<\/li>\n<li>The first vehicles, based on Renault Master, will be assembled at the\u00a0<strong>Batilly<\/strong>\u00a0plant.<\/li>\n<li>The fuel cell integration will be carried out by PVI, a subsidiary of Renault Group since 2017, located in\u00a0<strong>Gretz-Armainvilliers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The HYVIA integrated hydrogen technology complements Renault\u2019s E-TECH technology, increasing vehicle range to 500 km with rapid recharging time of 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The first three fuel cell vehicles brought to market by HYVIA will be<strong>\u00a0based on the Renault Master<\/strong>\u00a0platform and should be available in Europe by end of 2021 and accompanied with the deployment\u00a0of <strong>charging stations and the supply of green hydrogen.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Renault Group and Plug Power, a world leader in turnkey hydrogen and fuel cell solutions, are launching HYVIA.
