Romania’s car production up 7.1 percent in the first three months of 2024

In March, a total of 53,696 new cars were produced at the Mioveni and Craiova plants, down 3.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023. At the Dacia plant, 28,602 vehicles were assembled, while the Ford Otosan plant from Craiova produced 25,094 units.
In the first three months of 2024, the two plants produced a total of 152,912 new cars, up 7.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023, according to data published by ACAROM.
Car production in Romania hit a record in 2023: 513,050 units, up 0.7 percent from 2022 and 22 percent more than 2021.
