PPC blue offers electric mobility solutions to the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest

Thus, in March, PPC blue installed 16 charging stations for electric vehicles with a total of 32 charging points on the campus of the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, as well as in the student dormitories. One of the stations will have ultra-fast charging, while 4 of them will offer fast charging, and 11 of them will be normal charging stations.

„The future of electric mobility is built through education, collaboration and innovation, and university campuses are the ideal place where these values meet. The partnership with POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest marks an important step in our mission to bring electric mobility closer to new generations and support the transition to a sustainable lifestyle. We continue to expand the charging infrastructure across the country, responding to the growing need of electric and hybrid vehicle drivers to have easy access to charging points. Through strategic partnerships, such as the one signed today, we accelerate the transition to zero-emission transport and actively contribute to the formation of a generation that understands and supports change. Together with the PPC blue team, we collaborate with partners from all sectors and end users to build a greener, more accessible and more connected future to the needs of communities”, stated Andreea-Dana Popescu, PPC Blue România director.
“POLITEHNICA Bucharest is firmly committed to training tomorrow’s engineers in the spirit of innovation and responsibility towards society. The transition to a future based on green energy is a global challenge. The partnership with PPC blue represents a natural step towards developing green infrastructure on university campuses and encouraging electric mobility among young people. Through such collaborations, we offer our students not only access to state-of-the-art technologies, but also a concrete example of how academia and the private sector can build a more sustainable future together, preparing them to face the challenges of the future,” said Mihnea COSTOIU, Rector of POLITEHNICA Bucharest.
In Romania, PPC blue operates over 600 charging points in all counties of the country, with a total installed power of over 14,000 kW, and offers integrated electric mobility solutions to residential customers, companies and public institutions throughout the country.
In 2024, drivers who charged their electric cars at PPC blue stations traveled a total of 10,500,000 km, equivalent to 262 laps around the Earth, recording an average of 0.20 kWh per km. Following the charging sessions, they contributed to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 1,700 tons/year.
The PPC blue application can be downloaded from the AppStore or Google Play. It allows viewing available charging stations and choosing charging services suitable for users’ needs (subscriptions or Charge & Pay). Through the application, users can organize their trips and use both PPC blue charging stations in Romania and Greece. In fact, PPC Blue Romania is the only company in the country that offers customers charging subscriptions with included units (1 unit = 1 kWh). Depending on the level of consumption, there are three options: PPC blueLite (60 charging units included), PPC bluePlus (120 charging units included) and PPC blueMax (200 charging units included). Customers can charge using the mobile app or an RFID card associated with the active profile.
