International recognition: Continental tire produced in Timișoara takes the spotlight in the automotive industry (P)

A new success for Continental Tires Romania! Double victory for the WinterContact TS 870 P: Autobild and ADAC praise the performance of the winter tire!

The Continental WinterContact TS 870 P, also produced at the Timișoara plant, has recently been evaluated by two of the most prestigious automotive publications in Europe. The result? Another confirmation that our work is not only valuable, but also recognized globally.

The Autobild sportscars team tested a total of 11 winter tires in size 235/50 R19, using an Audi Q3 Sportback 45 TFSI quattro as the test vehicle. The outcome: WinterContact TS 870 P received the rating “vorbildlich” (exemplary) and an overall score of 1.3, being praised as “a true all-rounder” with the sportiest performance on dry roads.

ADAC tested 31 winter tires in size 225/40 R18 on a compact vehicle suitable for dynamic driving. The result: WinterContact TS 870 P was rated “gut” (good) with an overall score of 2.5. The tire was commended for its balanced performance, strong braking on wet and dry surfaces, safe behavior on snow, and sustainability characteristics, thanks to low wear and energy efficiency.
