Owners of Dacia Duster vehicles with identification numbers in the form of “UU1YYYYYXXXXXXXX” are advised to visit auto services “as soon as possible” in order to undergo a recalibration of the fuel injection calculator, according to an announcement posted by the National Consumer Protection Authority (ANPC).
Dacia representatives estimate that a malfunction may affect 1,826 Duster cars, and that the issue may cause the loss of the Stop&Start and ESM (Energy Smart Management) systems, according to Business Review.
“In case it is necessary, a new software version will be installed, free of charge,” Dacia notes. The procedure would take around 35 minutes.
