Romania’s new car registrations decreased by 22 percent in 2020 to 126,000 units: ACAROM

Romanians have registered approximately 126,000 new cars during 2020, down by almost 22% compared to 2019. Meanwhile, second-hand car registrations fell by 9% to about 405,000 units, according to data from the Romanian Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACAROM).
Dacia remains in the top of preferences, with almost 40,000 units, despite a decrease of 21%. The podium is completed by Skoda (10,288 / -16%) and Renault (10,273 / -24%).
Volkswagen follows with 9,422 units (-11%), while Ford had the largest decrease in registrations in top 5 (-44% and almost 7,000 units).
