E.ON Drive Infrastructure launches the largest electric car charging hub in Romania in Pitești
Starting Tuesday, July 15, electric vehicle drivers will have access to the largest charging hub in Romania, located in the parking lot of the VIVO! Pitești shopping center. The new project marks an important moment for the development of electric mobility in Romania and is part of E.ON Drive Infrastructure Romania’s strategy to expand the network of modern, fast and easily accessible charging points.
The hub includes 50 charging points, with varying powers, as follows:
• 6 ultra-fast charging points, with maximum power up to 300 kW;
• 12 fast charging points, with maximum power up to 50 kW;
• 32 AC charging points, with maximum power up to 11 kW.
All fast and ultra-fast charging points in the E.ON network are equipped with bank POS, allowing direct payment by card, without applications, accounts or subscriptions.
The VIVO! Pitești project is part of the European DRIVE-E Global initiative, one of the 39 innovative initiatives recently selected by the European Union for the development of alternative fuel infrastructure.
As part of this project, 1,400 public charging points will be installed in 13 EU member states by the end of 2027, of which 430 will be dedicated to heavy commercial trucks, each with a minimum power of 350 kW. DRIVE-E will significantly contribute to the electrification of European freight and passenger transport, accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility.
With the opening of the VIVO! Pitești hub, E.ON Drive Infra-structure Romania exceeds the threshold of 400 public charging points available in Romania.
