Made in Sibiu: AUMOVIO reaches production of 30 million surround view cameras

AUMOVIO Sibiu announces a new milestone in production: 30 million surround view cameras manufactured at the local site. This achievement builds on the success celebrated in 2023, when the plant marked the production of 10 million multifunctional cameras and 10 million surround view cameras.

Today, more than 8 million vehicles are equipped with surround view cameras built by the dedicated teams at AUMOVIO Sibiu. These cameras are part of a scalable surround view platform that enables advanced parking assistance – from visual guidance functions to fully automated parking.

The surround view camera platform stands out through:

• Flexible design for different needs – the camera can be customized with various lenses and sensors, offering a wide field of view of up to 360 degrees – as if the car had eyes all around it.
• Built for durability – these cameras are engineered to withstand harsh conditions and diverse driving environments. They remain cool, are resistant to electrical interference, and deliver reliable performance over time.
• Integrated smart technology – with high-resolution sensors (up to 3 megapixels), the camera captures clear images that support safe parking and help drivers avoid obstacles.
