Car registrations in Romania up 35.6% in November

New car registrations in Romania increased in November 2025 by 35.61% compared to November 2024, reaching a volume of 13,882 units, according to data from ACAROM.

In the first 11 months of 2025, the volume of newly registered cars reached 135,491 units, a decrease of 1.3% compared to the same period in 2024, when 137,298 units were registered.

Breakdown by category:

• Electric vehicles: 7,495 units, down 11.1%
• Hybrid vehicles: 66,512 units, up 25.6%
• LPG vehicles: 18,614 units, up 30.9%
• Petrol vehicles: 31,266 units, down 29.9%
• Diesel vehicles: 11,603 units, down 30%

As for used cars registered for the first time in Romania, their volume reached 31,959 units in November 2025, an increase of 11.43% compared to November 2024. In the first 11 months of 2025, the number of used cars registered for the first time in Romania reached 330,557 units, up 10.46% from the same period in 2024, when 299,228 units were registered.
