Romania’s car production posts slight decline over first 11 months of 2025
Romania’s automotive output remained stable in November, with a total of 51,904 new vehicles manufactured at the country’s two major plants in Mioveni and Craiova, according to data from ACAROM. The figure is nearly identical to the 51,906 units produced in November 2024.
The Dacia plant in Mioveni assembled 29,762 vehicles, while the Ford Otosan plant in Craiova contributed 22,142 units.
Throughout the first 11 months of 2025, combined production from the two factories reached 505,859 vehicles, representing a 2.4% decrease compared with the same period in 2024, when output totaled 518,744 units.
Romania set a new production record in 2024, surpassing 550,000 units. The year closed with 560,102 vehicles produced, marking a 9.1% increase over 2023. That 2023 result—513,050 units—had also been an all-time high at the time.
