Romanian car production declines 4.5 percent in March

In March 2026, Romania produced 48,175 passenger cars, marking a 4.5 percent decrease from the 50,463 units manufactured in March 2025, according to ACAROM (Romanian Automobile Manufacturers Association).
Dacia’s Mioveni plant accounted for 24,264 units, while Ford Otosan’s Craiova facility produced 23,911 vehicles.
Over the first three months of 2026, total automobile production reached 128,419 units (64,679 from Dacia and 63,740 from Ford Otosan), down 5.4 percent from the 135,723 units in the same period of 2025.
