Bosch provides 100 million euros for German startups
The Bosch Group is providing 100 million euros in fresh capital to startups in Germany. Through the Spark fund, the supplier of technology and services aims to significantly expand its involvement in the German startup scene. The goal is to foster technological advancement in the country and generate further growth momentum for Bosch.
“Germany’s startup landscape is not only attractive from a technological standpoint, but it also holds great potential for our growth areas,” says Christian Fischer, chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH. “Through financing, collaborations, and partnerships, we want to gain greater access to new business models and disruptive technologies that have the potential to transform entire markets. At the same time, our Spark fund also strengthens the German innovation ecosystem.”
In Bosch’s view, Germany as a business location now boasts a startup scene that has matured over the years, an innovation landscape with a broad spectrum of technologies, and exceptionally strong industrial and scientific roots.
According to Fischer, this innovation ecosystem provides favorable conditions for making more targeted investments in German startups, even in the current challenging environment. Bosch is now one of Europe’s largest corporate investors and its funds have provided a total of more than 1 billion euros in venture capital to date. Most recently, the venture capital subsidiary Bosch Ventures launched its sixth fund in 2025.
