MOON aims to become an important player on the e-mobility market.”
What e-mobility solutions does Porsche Romania offer to customers who want to charge their electric vehicles?
Porsche Romania, under the brand MOON, offers to BEV and PHEV customers, not only charging stations for households, but also high-power charging solutions for companies. To make things as simple as possible for customers, MOON offers a complete support service throughout this process: from consultancy to installation and maintenance.
MOON offers for the Romanian market a complete range of charging stations, from a mobile charger to fast stations with powers reaching 300 kW. The Wall-boxes for home usage can be bought directly from any Volkswagen, Audi, ŠKODA or Seat dealer. For specific configurations or fast charging stations, the clients can contact us through our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MOONpowerRO/) or through our contact form available on the website (www.moon-power.ro) and together we will find the suitable charging solution for their needs.
Moreover, through the investments made by Porsche Romania in the MOON charging stations installed within the distributor network, worth approximately 1 million Euros, we will ensure our customers access to over 100 charging points.
What are your plans for developing the network of charging stations under the MOON brand?
We will continue to develop the network of charging stations within our Volkswagen, Audi, ŠKODA and Seat distributors, at the rate that the electric car market will demand, and in correlation with e-mobility standards from car manufacturers in the concern, based on the multitude of electric models what will be released.
Moreover, MOON is in a constant search for partnerships to make available to users of electric cars, high-power charging stations with energy from renewable sources, and thus contribute to reducing the CO2 footprint and development the entire network of public charging stations.
How many MOON charging stations are currently available at Porsche Romania dealers? How many charging stations will you install next year?
Currently, 56 MOON charging stations are available in the Porsche Romania distributor network, meaning 86 charging points, of which 16 are fast charging points of 75kW DC, 20 charging points of 25kW DC, and the rest of charging points in 22kW alternating current. Next year we want to complete the installation of 44 stations and thus reach the target of 100 stations installed in the Porsche Romania network that had been set for this year, but which unfortunately registered delays due to the COVID 19 pandemic and the lock down period in the spring. This investment in charging infrastructure will play a very important role in promoting and supporting electric mobility.
The true potential of this network will be reached as the multitude of electric and hybrid models, of the brands from the Volkswagen Group, and not only, will appear on the Romanian market.
MOON charging stations have been integrated into the e-charge network. What are the objectives of your partnership with Renovatio?
Through the partnership with Renovatio we aim for all users of electric vehicles to have access to as many charging stations as possible throughout the country and to also benefit from e-roaming charging services. Thus, we ensured the integration of all MOON stations installed by dealers, as well as of the already existing Renovatio stations, in the WeCharge platform, in total 269 charging points, distributed throughout the country.
What other projects and partnerships are you preparing in the field of electromobility?
Next year we plan to focus also on the solar panel and storage business and therefore we will search partners interested in developing new projects based on green energy.
