Dalia Stoian, EFdeN: “In the urban areas, we must pay more attention to public transport, micro mobility, last mile solutions”

“Our activity started with the construction of sustainable house prototypes for international competitions, but we ended up looking at how sustainable cities and communities should look. In this direction, we have realized and continue to realize projects that are not only related to constructions, but also to the mobility area,” Dalia Stoian, Chief Engineer, EFdeN said during Green Mobility Conference powered by Automotive Today and The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“We made a prototype of a charging station with photovoltaic panels, and we charge our electric car with green energy. In France there is a national project to mount photovoltaic panels on the roofs of parking lots, because it is an unused space, and you produce energy both for electric cars and for other consumers.
In urban transport, the car is the least efficient means of transport. In the urban environment, we must pay more attention to public transport, micro mobility, the last mile concept. We recently launched a charging station concept for bicycles and electric scooters, which uses green energy from photovoltaic panels.
A project we are working on is a modular station for buses and trams, also equipped with a system for counting people who are in the station at certain times, so that we can facilitate a database, as well as quality monitoring sensors air etc.”
