Romania’s car registrations down 24.7 percent in April

In April, Romanians registered 9,996 new cars, down 24.7 percent compared to the same period in 2024. The volume of used cars registered for the first time in Romania was 34,838 units in April 2025, up 16.5 percent compared to April 2024, according to data from ACAROM and DRPCIV.
In the first 4 months of the year, the volume of new car registrations reached 43,224 units, down 7 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
During the period January-April, the total number of used car registrations was 130,940 units (+14.8 percent).
After the first 4 months of 2025, Dacia had the highest registrations in Romania, with 12,226 units, followed by Toyota (3,903) and Skoda (3,481).
