Schaeffler integrates electric truck into logistics circuit at production site in Brasov

Schaeffler Romania introduced electric transport into its logistics circuit, using an electric truck between the production site in Brașov and the warehouse. This initiative makes a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions and improving operational efficiency.

The electric truck performs, on average, 4 to 5 shipments daily, covering 12.3 km per transport operation. This implementation optimizes operational costs and reduces CO2 emissions by approximately 15 tons annually.

“This initiative reflects our strategic approach to improving operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact, reaffirming Schaeffler’s long-term commitment to sustainability,” said Marius Pricop, manager of Schaeffler Brașov location.
