Mihai Boldijar, Bosch: “We estimate a growth of 3-4% in Romania in 2025, we are trying to maintain our competitiveness and profitability”

Bosch, a global leader in providing technologies and services, ended the fiscal year 2024 with consolidated sales of 2.6 billion lei (529.5 million euros) in Romania, registering an increase of 2.6%, despite difficult market conditions.
Total net sales of 11.9 billion lei (2.4 billion euros) in Romania, including sales of unconsolidated companies and domestic deliveries to affiliated companies, remained at a similar level to the previous year.
“In the first 3 months we had a growth above expectations. Profit was eroded in 2024 and we want to return to the 7% margin in 2025. In the last 2 years we have witnessed a consolidation of the business in Romania. We are trying to maintain the level of profitability and competitiveness. We estimate a growth of 3-4% in 2025 in Romania. We are monitoring the costs, but at this moment we are not considering the idea of reducing the number of employees,” said Mihai Boldijar, CEO of Robert Bosch S.R.L. and representative of the Bosch Group in Romania during a press conference.
“To capitalize on the long-term future potential, Bosch will continue to develop local expertise in Romania, with a focus on innovation and sustainability,” added Boldijar.
In the first quarter of 2025, Bosch managed to increase its annual sales figure by 4 percent globally. The company also had a good start in Romania in 2025, with a slight increase in sales compared to 2024. “Although we expect a difficult year in Romania as well due to the current situation, Bosch continues to manage the turbulence in the automotive industry in recent years and remains dedicated to the local market,” explained Boldijar.
