Romania’s car production increased by 15.2 percent in June. A total of 53,035 cars were produced at the Mioveni and Craiova plants, according to ACAROM data.
27,968 vehicles were assembled at the Dacia plant (vs. 24,505 in June 2024). The Ford Otosan plant in Craiova manufactured 25,067 cars (vs. 21,527 in June 2024).
After the first 6 months of 2025, car production in Romania reached a level of 284,216 units, 2.8 percent less than in the first 6 months of last year.
Car production in Romania reached a new record in 2024, exceeding the threshold of 550,000 units. Last year, car production in Romania was 560,102 vehicles, up 9.1 percent compared to 2023. The 2023 result was also a record (513,050 units).
