Ministry of Finance offers state aid to Dacia and Draxlmaier for strategic investment projects
The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, signed two financing agreements for the companies Automobile Dacia SA and DRM Draxlmaier Romania Sisteme Electrice SRL. These were approved under the state aid scheme provided for by Government Decision no. 300/2024, with the objective of stimulating regional development through significant investments.
DRM Draxlmaier Romania Sisteme Electrice SRL, a major global company and one of the largest employers in the automotive industry in Romania, will expand the production capacity of wiring harnesses for electric vehicles, in the Satu Mare unit. The project, with a value of 297.2 million lei and an approved state aid of 133.7 million lei, will create over 400 new jobs by 2030 and will contribute to regional development with 211 million lei, in the form of local and national taxes and duties.
The second approved project is for Automobile Dacia SA, which will benefit from financing worth 37.5 million lei, for a project to modernize the vehicle painting process, an investment of 85 million lei. The company’s contribution to regional development through the payment of taxes and duties will be 18.7 million lei. “Major state-supported investments in strategic areas for Romania contribute to a stronger and more competitive economy, generating jobs in key industries. Through this type of partnership, we support companies that bring added value, promote innovation and ensure sustainable growth in the long term. We aim to soon announce other strategic measures to support investments and economic development, in order to increase Romania’s attractiveness and to be able to create new opportunities. Romania has a huge potential, which we can achieve, with sufficient ambition and measures that restore confidence in our country,” Minister Alexandru Nazare said.
