Romania’s car production declines in 2025

In December 2025, a total of 39,651 cars were produced in Romania, marking a decrease of 4.13 percent compared to December 2024, when production reached 41,358 units.
Of the total December output, 21,655 vehicles were manufactured at the Dacia plant in Mioveni, while 17,996 units were produced by Ford Otosan at its Craiova factory.
For the full year 2025, Romania’s automobile production amounted to 545,510 vehicles. Dacia accounted for 297,182 units, and Ford Otosan produced 248,328 units. This represents a decline of 2.6 percent compared to 2024, when total production stood at 560,102 vehicles.
