New registrations of passenger cars down by 0.7 per cent in Q1 2018
New registrations of road vehicles for passenger transport decreased by 0.7 per cent in the first quarter of 2018 compared to the first quarter of 2017.
Over the period surveyed, the new registrations of vehicles for goods transport increased by 7.6 percent compared to the first quarter of the previous year, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) said.
In the first quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter of 2017, the new registrations of road vehicles for passenger transport increased for mopeds and motorcycles by 16.4 per cent and decreased for buses and minibuses and for passenger cars by 11.0 percent and by 0.7 percent, respectively.
The new registrations of road vehicles for goods transport increased for trailers and semitrailers and for road tractors by 32.8 per cent and by 0.7 per cent, respectively and decreased by 1.0 per cent for road tractors.
In the first quarter of 2018, compared to the fourth quarter of 2017, the new registrations of road vehicles for passenger transport decreased by 12.4 per cent, while the new registrations of road vehicles for goods transport increased by 3.0 per cent.
