E.ON Drive Infrastructure reaches 500 electric vehicle charging points in Romania
E.ON Drive Infrastructure Romania, a developer of electric mobility infrastructure, has announced a major milestone: the installation of its 500th charging point within its national network, now expanded across 39 counties.
“This milestone is not just a number — it reflects a solid investment strategy, strong partnerships, and the rapid growth of Romania’s electric vehicle user community. We thank our customers for their trust and for choosing E.ON Drive solutions every day. We will continue expanding the network to make it even more accessible and predictable,” said Adrian Rotăraș, General Manager of E.ON Drive Infrastructure Romania.
To celebrate the achievement, E.ON Drive Infrastructure has launched a nationwide promotional campaign offering a 50% discount on all charging sessions across its public network for five days, starting Tuesday, February 24.
The discount applies to direct card payments at the station, either through integrated payment terminals or by scanning a QR code. No account registration or mobile app is required.
Users can locate E.ON Drive charging points via the public station map available on the E.ON website or through the dedicated mobile app. The network includes both urban stations and strategically positioned chargers along major routes and highways, supporting local and long-distance travel.
In 2025, the E.ON Drive Romania network delivered over 2 million kWh of energy to electric vehicles across more than 110,000 charging sessions, nearly double the volume recorded the previous year.
Looking ahead to 2026, the company plans to focus on deploying ultra-fast charging stations to significantly reduce charging times, as well as developing multi-point charging hubs at single locations to eliminate waiting times and ensure higher availability during peak periods.
